The Bayelsa State Governor has eventually embarked on a minor shake-up of his executive team. Affected by the wind of change were special advisers and senior special assistants.
The Telegraph had authoritatively reported earlier that the governor may any time from now send some of those serving under the current dispensation parking.
As the curtain fell at the weekend, Governor Alamieyeseigha ordered the affected officials to step aside.
Although there are no details on why the special advisers and the senior special assistants had to go, the general feeling in Yenagoa was that the urge to inject new blood into his administration more than any other consideration may have influenced the action of the Bayelsa strong man.
Originally, speculations were rife that the cabinet would be hit by the wind of change.
